Wires and Cables Symbols
This picture is a screenshot of the wires and cables symbol library in Edraw. It has included a comprehensive assembling of vector P&ID wires and cables shapes. You will find additive injection, baling press, coil, extruder, extrusion booster, wire spool, wooden spool, wire stacker, etc.
Extruder is a device that forces ductile or semisoft solids through die openings of appropriate shape to produce a continuous film, strip, or tubing
Coil is an electrical conductor wound into the form of a spiral, sometimes with a soft iron core, to provide inductance or a magnetic field.
Wire Spool is a device on which thread, wire, cable, paper, film, straps, or tape is wound for distribution, with plates at top and bottom to prevent it from slipping off.
How to Use Wires and Cables Symbols
To find the symbols, first click the Library button on the top left corner, from the drop-down list click Industrial Automation, you will see all P&ID drawing symbols. Choose Wires and Cables, and this stencil will open on the left of the cancas. Drag the shape you need directly onto the canvas.
Since all symbols are in vector format, they are very flexible to use.
Size Scalable
You are allowed to scale the shape to any size without loss of the display resolution. There is no blur image anymore.
Color Changeable
You are able to freely change filling colors to suit your own theme.
Tips: If you want to change the filling color for a part of a shape, first you need to select the sub shape. Click on the sub shape you want to change color for a few times until you successfully select it (there will be a blue selection frame), then you can change this sub shape with a new color, and with other parts unchanged. Or you can ungroup the shape first (go to Home menu, and click Ungroup button), and change the color for any sub shape freely.
Shape Separable
You are able to pull out the drawing components to create new symbols. To do this, first you need to click Ungroup button to ungroup the shape under Home menu.
