Step 1. Make sure what you want to know from this family tree and how many generations you want to show on it.
Step 2. Write the family members you already know on drafts and research the history of your family.
Step 3. Start family tree creating with the help of our Linux family tree software. Run it, go to File menu > New > Organizational Chart and open a blank drawing page by double clicking the icon of Family tree.
Step 4. Step 4. Drag family tree shape and family member shapes from left libraries, then drop on the drawing page. Click Display Options under Org Chart menu to show the photo.
Step 5. Photos can not be shown in the default setting. Users can click Display Options under Org Chart menu to show the photo.
Step 6. Double click the shapes to add names and relations, then finish the typing by click any blank area on the page. Users can also replace the predefined photos to make tree more sweet by clicking Chang Photo under Org Chart.
Step 7. Go back to File menu and click Save to save the family tree as the default format .eddx. Or click Export & Send to share it with others conveniently.
