Theme Format

When you change the theme format on the drawing page, the fonts, colors, connector styles and other format designs of all the shapes will be influenced unless you have chosen Protect From Theme.

Theme

To alter a theme for shapes, select the shapes, then click the Theme icon on the right sidebar to open Theme pane.

To create your own theme, you can

  1. Select a built-in color scheme, font style, and connector style
  2. See the outcome in the thumbnail, click Save Theme and edit a theme name
  3. The new theme shows on the theme list, and you are able to delete or rename it.

Color

To alter theme colors for shapes, select the shapes, then you can

  1. Open Theme pane
  2. Click Color option and choose the desired built-in theme colors in the theme color list for the shapes

To create your own theme colors, you can

  1. Click the plus icon above the theme color list
  2. Customize your own theme color scheme by clicking on each accent and picking up custom color
    3. create new theme colors
  3. After selecting all the wanted colors, type a name and click OK; the color scheme will appear on the theme color list

Connector Style

To alter theme connectors for shapes, select the connectors, then you can

  1. Open Theme pane
  2. Click Connector option and choose the desired built-in theme connector in the theme connectors list for the shapes

To create your own theme connectors, you can

  1. Click the plus icon on the theme connector list
  2. Customize your own theme connector styles in the Create Theme Connector window

  3. After setting the line styles, type a name and click OK; the color scheme will appear on the theme color list

Text Font

To alter theme fonts for shapes, select the text, then you can

  1. Open Theme pane
  2. Click Text option and choose the desired built-in theme font in the theme font list for the shapes

To add your own theme font, you can

  1. Click the plus icon above the theme font list
  2. Modify the new theme font type and size in the Create Font Theme window
    3. create font theme
  3. Type a new font name and click OK, the new-added font will appear on the font list

Quick Style

Quick Styles: A collection of format options that make you change styles of your drawing with one click.

To add a quick style, you can

  1. Select the shape that you want to change its style
  2. Go to Home tab and find the collapsed menu
    3. quick style menu
  3. Open the menu and choose the desired style that you want

When you change the theme of the diagram, the quick style menu shown on ribbon will be changed accordingly.
